I'm restoring my 1974 Trans Am and have verified that it is original from the 455 to the 10 bolt rear-end. I didn't do more than an oil change and additive to the rear differential. Moving forward I have zero issues but when I back up and turn at the same time it feels like the rear diff is binding (almost feels like it binds up then lets go). You can definitely feel it..

Thoughts?

Thanks for the help!!

If it was mine and I had ruled out the brakes, I would go out and do some slow, tight figure 8s.. forward and reverse. What gear oil and additive did you use?

Sounds like the posi clutches are engaging and releasing in reverse.
