Looking for info on which vendor has the best fitting body panels for a 69 convertible Firebird.

From what I understand there are only 1 or 2 manufacturers making body panels. So regardless of who you order from, you are probably getting the same manufacturer.

 

Others may have their suggestions, mine is go for whichever vendor gives you the best price.

If you want the best fitting body panels, try to find NOS GM panels. It will take a lot of searching to find them. And if you do find them, they're be priced like they're made of gold.

 

An alternative would be to locate & buy used rust free body panels. Look in states like Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, etc.

I got all the body panels from NPD for my 67 Camaro trunk area (same as Firebird). I replaced everything from the rear foot wells to the rear splash pan including torque boxes, trunk pan, frame rails, drop offs, outer wheel wells, and inner splash pan. Fitment was good. Almost finished dressing welds and getting everything in epoxy primer.
