Did you perhaps over tighten the rocker arms? This would keep engine from running. I believe the shoebox site has rocker adjustment instructions.http://www.shbox.com
Instructions at # 9 in how to section.
And we have the 93 factory service manual at the following link. It will have instructions. http://www.mediafire.../?40mfgeoe4ctti
If all else fails, try the shade tree method of rocker adjustment. It involves loosening the rocker arm nuts just enough to get engine running. Then, one by one, you loosen rocker arm nut untill valve clatter occurs. Then tighten rocker arm nut until clatter on that rocker stops. Turn adjusting nut 1/4 turn more. Move on to next rocker arm.
This method is messy as oil will splatter do to running engine with valve covers off. It's a method of last resort if you can't adjust rockers with shoebox or service manual method.

Please follow the procedure in the manual. I decided to do it the shade-tree mechanic way to fix a few loud lifters. I now have a flat spot in my RPM band from 4,500 to 5K that wasn't there before. The procedure in the manual seems like a bit much, but, you don't want to be where I am. Some day I'll go and do it right like I should have done the first time.
