I'm ready to put a 700R4 trans in my 71. For those who know, which aftermarket x-mem is good for this swap?  I know the mounting point is different than the TH400. How much different?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Fred Z.

I don't have one for a 1970-74 or the TH700 family, but I have the G-Force crossmember for my 78 to suit 200-4R and it's a beauty, complete with exhaust clearance design.

Actually, it's the 400 and 200R4 that have the mount at the same point. Prob what you meant to type.

Thanks Ben, yes your right!

I messed that up, that's not what I was thinking, just deleted my useless post.

The 700r4 transmission mounting surface on the case is 12cm closer to the engine and 16mm lower (at 90° angle of the bell housing), compared to the th400.

Very similar to the TH350, found no input about its height though.

The 700r4 tail-housing P/N 24214689, has the mount surface almost in the same place as the th400 and 200-r4, not sure in height though.
