I was looking at different muffler options for the 78 t/a i just picked up. It has a slightly built motor with longtubes/true dual and cherry bombs. I've ridden in a 68 camaro/built 454 with a borla exhaust, and at WOT it SCREAMED. Not screached, not rumbled, not blared. It spinned and screamed down whatever street it was on. Now i know i don't have a chevy big block, but i would like to get as close to that scream as possible. The cherry bombs are ok, but not the sound i'm looking for. They sound like a quiet strait pipe(too blarey). I need opinions, specifically on which bullet style strait through mufflers to choose/try out. I was looking a a set of Borla XR1's. Pretty expensive, however priceless if i get the sound i want. Does anyone have any links or clips of these xr1's on a classic mucsle poncho or chevy?
