What's goin on guys ya'll think a glass pack would sound good on the 96 3.8L or any other ideas tryin to keep it a little cheaper right now so prolly not guna by all new exuahst just a muffler for now

Yabut your profile says you're in California. Glasspacks could very well run you afoul of local noise ordinances and passing a visual inspection might be difficult.

If you're trying to save money, you can usually find a plain vanilla Walker muffler for less than what you'd pay for a glasspack. If you're really after a racious, raspy sound, then a glasspack will do it for you, given the caveats above. Not real sure I'd want that in a ragtop.

I agree , that would be kinda obnoxious .... I'd settle for some sonic turbos , walkers or thrush turbos..... If you want a deeper rumble

Does your car have a single outlet muffler (one exhaust pipe) or a dual outlet muffler (two pipes, one on each side under the bumper)? If you only have a single exhaust, consider finding a used muffler from a V8 model with the dual outlets. Will produce a small increase in performance, probably not much change in sound. But "glass packs" sound cheap and the packing crumbles over time and they sound even worse.

I have duals right now and yea I'm in California but I'm not worried bout the cops. An yea I saw the thrush turbos is that a deep rumble?
