That looks pretty bad. Hope you didn't find any rats. LOL But you will have the old girl good as new.

No carcasses of any type found dead or alive Bill, lol. I will do my best to bring this car back and have fun doing it.

It will need new floor pans and a trunk pan. that is about the extent of the damage. It gives me a good reason to get a good welder and a plasma cutter, lol. The trans tunnel and rocker panels are solid, so that is good.

Thank You Bryon. I have the pistons on the bench numbered in boxes and the crankshaft there also. The Block, Pistons/Rods, Crank, and head will all make a trip to the machine shop to be inspected and work done if needed.

The Engine is tore down as far as I can get it. Time to take it to the machine shop along with the pistons, rods, crank and head to be checked for cracks and overall condition. Also, I dropped the gas tank. I will be working on taking the rest of her apart this week, starting from the back and moving forward. More pics to come.....

the OHC 6 is a hard to find engine, and has good torque along with good fuel economy. I had a 66 Tempest 2 door post with the OHC and a 3 speed on the column, about 30 years ago, picked it up as a bank repo for $50.00. drove it for a year with just routine maintenance and sold it for $500. Another car I wish I had back.
