yeah Fort Bragg isn't that bad its just Fayetteville is a poopy hole. I hate the town and the locals. Sorry don't mean to offend anyone if they're from here. I'm just from a small town is southern KY and its WAY different than Fayetteville. The crime rate here is ridiculous! While my hubby was away at airborne school 3 of us army wives and one of their brother-in-laws were staying on base at a friends house and her house kept getting broke into. We had to call the MPs 6 different times. The girl we were staying with, her husband was in Haiti so we think someone new she was alone and kept coming back. Nothing was ever stolen so that lead is to believe he wanted only one thing.

The hubby is with the 1-319th (part of the 82nd). His MOS is 13b...cannon crew member...he seems to like the 82nd but he's not to fond of jumping outta a perfectly good airplane! lol he's afraid of heights

Yes, Fayetteville does seem to offer it's fair share of village idiots and idiot crime sprees. I was assigned to the Womack Medical Center (Chief of Family Medicine) for about 30 months. And yes, I had to go jump out of perfectly good C-141s/C-130s about every 30 days to keep my airborne/ranger status. Fort Bragg is where I was also promoted to Colonel. My 79 Firebird had been broken in to at least twice that I know of and nothing was taken! Made me want to put something valuable in it just so I could have the bragging rights of my car being broken into! LOL

Anyway, we are all glad you are here to share this tiny piece of Internet real estate with us and look forward to your sharing of anything you wish to speak of. We have the best members here you'll find anywhere. Thank you for your service and your husbands too! :f_bananarockm:
