How To Rebuild Small-Block Chevy LT-1/LT4 Engines by Mike Mavrigian
This is a very thorough and comprehensive book that gets about as in-depth as anyone would ever want to get into thier engine. It has step-by-step instructions on how to rebuild 92-97 (generation 2 or GenII) small blocks to factory specifiations. The book isn't only good for your Vette, T/A, or Z28, it's also general enough to be used on late model GM trucks as well.
If you want spcecifics, this book has them. Beginning with a brief history of the SBC which progresses to the current GenIII engines, Mavrigian then methodically walks you through an entire engine rebuild, leaving no bolt untorqued, and no race uninspected. If you've never rebuilt and engine and want to learn or if you've been doing it the same way for years, you will find essential information here to ensure that your next rebuild will be done right the first time. Eliminate the guess work and the "oops" factors and get this book.
I got mine off of a popular online auction for around 15 bucks.
