I have been a non-stop subscriber since the Feb. 1982 issue.
And still enjoy each and every issue, which I still have.
It was known as "ThunderAm",before the name change to "High Performance Pontiac", and was mostly a Firebird publication, but over the years it has grown from a bi-monthly, to a monthly, added more pages, went full color, and branched out to all Pontiac models, new and old, as well as some GMC tid-bits.

Good choice, :devilfire:

I actually use to subscribe to them and recently cancelled it. I am sorry but the mag sucks and all it seems to have become is the same BS and worthless BS at that. Some S**t is outrageously impossible for a regular joe to do and my Gawd everything is about the LT1 and LS1. They seem to not realize fan fare spans back to the earlier cars. Also they waste about 10 or 15 pages a month showing off cars runnig against each other at the track and give worthless and endless info on what the car did for all three or four runs. But its like nothing. Not any proof, for instance Brad retarded timing 2* and lost 3/10ths of a second but then further down it says he was late on the gas and screwed up his tires bite. So they end it there, ok now wtf? was retarding the timing helpful and the late start hurt is what hurt his time or was the last run also a late start and infactr reterding the timing actually hurt his times? Get my point, I mean thier is nothing solid to actually learn. I am so sick of reading about LT4 conversions month after month. So for me the mag was a good ridance! For what little bit I did get from the mag it just wasn't worth the cover price to me.

You will probably like it for atleast the first year subscription and probably like it more then me because you drive a third gen and will get more out of their magazine, but fourth gen birds seem to prosper most from it. Us early second and first gen dudes seem to have been kicked to the curb especially when an older car isn't a GTO OR Can-Am.

If you go to their website you'll find a very nice mix of the different generations of Firebirds as well as other Pontiacs.

I have no subscriptions, I think ALL the magazines are well overpriced on the newstand, and I dont like it when I subscribe and then my subscription ends and they keep sendin me mags and a bill. Plus it seems with 99% of magazines you pay for the mag and 80% of the magazine is advertising. As much advertising as is in them, the price should be much much lower.
