I recently tried to find the Rockers that I want to put on my car via Summits web site, could not find them. So, I called them, spoke with a girl that told me the rockers that I want are not available. I'm thinkin'; that's odd someone showed them to me just last week. So I e-mailed Lloyd Elliot(E-Port works), and asked him what he thought and suggested, he told me he was amazed at how the lack of C/S from the phone and how they are losing quite a lot of business due to this type of thing. I just don't know why some companies are letting sales slip through their hands because they choose to keep cheaper labor on hand. ;)

I would have to give them a fairly low mark from my experience.

As most of you know we have a Summit retail store just minutes away from my house. Which is great, but I can tell you that when I go there to buy parts I either have the part numbers already or, end up guiding the sales person through the search process on his computer to find the parts I need. Some of them are clueless. I will say there are a couple of guys that do know what they're doing and can be very helpful. Unfortunately, they are usually helping someone else.
The best way Rusty is to find the part number and just tell them what you want.

I learned a long time ago that when spending my money one something that it's best to do some research to determine what options I have and ask a lot of questions. Because this is the type of thing that seems to be inevitable. If I simply took the young girl's advise, I would be buying an inferior product for my car(in this case I already knew what I wanted, was checking $ from Summit) and would have not been as satisfied later on.

One of the things that irritates me about summit racing is they claim free shipping yet they charge some kind of BS handling fee, which would cost the same as shipping anyway!
Need AMSOIL? Don't pay full price for AMSOIL, let me save you big bucks, or let me set you up with a factory direct account, but whatever you do, don't pay full price by buying directly from AMSOIL! To read my own personal research into AMSOIL and why I decided to make the change myself, check out my AMSOIL synthetic motor oil site.

Probably seen me pissed off already in some threads about summit but here it goes again! lol everytime I order from them (except the first time), I've always had a problem and it's normally a girl that calls me up and they say's they have a problem with my order. The problem every time... my debit would not clear and i'm thinking why? SO I canceled the order and a few months later I give summit one more chance... AGAIN same problem, same chick on the phone (i'm ordering by computer FYI) and I asked to speak to someone that knew what they were doing... sure enough a guy gets on the phone, looks into it and say's "Were sorry about the problem, our mistake, your order will be shipped tomorrow"... I have a funny feeling it's just that girl lol but JEGS... never had a problem with them except that they don't have nearly as much of a selection as summit

I've never had a problem with Summit or Jegs directly. Both have been nearly identical in service, parts quality and selection, and price. I've never been treated poorly by either. Although we did have some part mix ups from Summit but they weren't directly Summit's fault. Both were sealed packages, one from Edelbrock and one from Crane. The intake bolts from Edelbrock weren't right for our motor, and one valve spring retainer was way too big out of the entire set we got from Crane. Other than that, no problems at all. :B):

Wow, sorry to hear such bad expieriences with Summit. I personally have had no problems with them. Everytime I order, I get what I want and it's usually whithin 3 days of ordering. The only snafu that I've had was when I ordered Moroso plug wires and checked with the sales rep to make sure they'd work. They sent me Female HEI's when I needed Males. I called them up after I got them, they told me it was a mistake on the rep's part and shipped me out the correct wires the same day with a refund for the difference in price.
I agree that you need to research the part #'s yourself (and I learned from the plug wires). Otherwise I am more than happy with them and always check their website before I order anything from someone else.
Don't let a bad expierience sour you to a good company. Just follow up and keep your receipts in case of a problem.
