Drivers window + locks problems

Hi i have a 97 firebird with some electrical issues. The drivers window only works part time and the keyless remote does not work except for the trunk release on both remotes. When i try to use the remote i can hear a faint click from behind the glove box. Anybody have any ideas on what could be wrong ?
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

The key fob's have new batterys in them. The drivers window rolls down about a quater of the way and you have to retry it ouple of times in 5 minute intervals. and the power door locks do not work at all .
Any ideas on what else to try ??

This is very common when the window motor is going out. I would replace the window motor.

If the keyless entry does not work at all, but you hear a clicking in the reciever, I would think it may be the reciever. But, let me get you a troubleshooting chart. Give me about 10 minutes. Have you checked all the fuses? Do the power door locks work if you use the button inside the car or is it limited to the key fob??

Ok, so the power door locks are completely inoperable, but the light and the rear hatch work normally, correct? Check to make sure the connections on the receiver are tight and all wires are secure and undamaged. Sounds to me like it’s the receiver. I can post some tests you can run if you want, its mainly checking to see if there is an open in the wires running from the receiver.

Here are the instructions for checking that circuit for the problem you describe:

Check CKT 295 for an open between S504 and Keyless Entry Receiver connector C2 terminal "C", or for poor connection to Receiver. If OK, replace Receiver. (Verify Actuator opperation before replacing receiver. Apply B+ and Ground momentarily across disconnected connector C2 terminals "C" and "G", then "C" and "H".
