Firing Order:
1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2

Distributor Rotation:
Rotor spins COUNTER CLOCKWISE

Torque Specs for Pontiac 265, 301, 326, 350, 389, 400, 421

Main Caps, lube with Engine Oil, torque to 100 ft-lbs.

Rear Main Cap, lube with Engine Oil, torque to 120 ft-lbs.

Connecting Rods, lube with Assembly Lube, torque to 45 ft-lbs.

SD Connecting Rods, lube with Assembly Lube, torque to 65 ft-lbs.

Cylinder Heads, lube with Engine Oil, torque to 95 ft-lbs.

Rocker Studs (screw-in), lube with Engine Oil, torque to 55 ft-lbs.

Rocker Arm Nuts (Non-Adjustable Rockers), lube with Assembly Lube, torque to 20 ft-lbs.

Oil Pump Bolts, lube with Engine Oil, torque to 30 ft-lbs.

Windage Tray, lube with Engine Oil, torque to 15 ft-lbs.

Oil Pan, lube with Engine Oil, torque to 12 ft-lbs.

Camshaft Thrust Plate, lube with Engine Oil, torque to 15 ft-lbs.

Cam Sprocket (upper gear), lube with Thread Locker, torque to 45 ft-lbs.

Timing Cover, lube with Engine Oil, torque to 15 ft-lbs.

Valley Pan Bolts, lube with Engine Oil, torque to 15 ft-lbs.

Intake Manifold (Cast Iron Heads), lube with Non- Hardening Sealer, torque to 40 ft-lbs.

Valve Cover, lube with Engine Oil, torque to 5 ft-lbs.

Exhaust Manifold, lube with Anti-Seize Lubricant, torque to 30 ft-lbs.

Spark Plugs, lube with Anti-Seize compound, torque to 20 ft-lbs.

Flexplate (Automatic)
Flywheel (Clutch), lube with Thread Locker, torque to 95 ft-lbs.

Clutch Pressure Plate, lube with Thread Locker, torque to 25 ft-lbs.

Centerbolt (Harmonic Damper), lube with Thread Locker, torque to 160 ft-lbs.

Bellhousing (Transmission to Block), lube with Engine Oil, torque to 25 ft-lbs.

Thermostat housing bolts - 30 ft lbs I believe. Correct me if I am wrong.
