However just a idle rump ?
-
I was looking for a louder throaty sound?
-
Gotta keep it legal with the Catalytic Convertor am I limited as to getting that Throaty sound?
-
Will removing the crossover help or am I doomed to just a slight rumble?
-
Or did I pick the wrong muffler?

I like flowmaster mufflers.     they do make performance converters but I don't know if they are legal in your state.     doubt the crossover is hurting your sound

From my experience the SpinTechs are relatively quiet. Want the sound of a strong engine, and actual power gain.... look into the Borla XR1 ovals. I have a 3" XR1 on each header collector extension - strong sound, without being obnoxious, and free from RPM-specific resonance peaks.
