My first car was a pumpkin orange 1968 400 car with deluxe interior.  It was mashed in the back and with no title, it did not last long. However Ive always loved the first Gen Fbody pontiacs.  Never really cared for the Camaros.

Anyways, I picked up this coupe about a month ago just north of Ft Worth.  Its a true TX car but has some rust in it.  Floor pans, deck filler, and DS quarter panel front/rear.  Someone put a SBC and a TH350 in it and it will reside in there till Ive managed to get the interior re-worked, front drums converted, rearend swapped, and of course the sheet metal/body straight.  Will be a long process since I dont have unlimited funds or a ton of "play money".   Heres a few shots of it murdered out by the previous owner.

Very cool Good luck on your new build Derrick

A coworker asked me what its like restoring my car I told him its like going to the parts store once a week to buy one part for five years until you have enough parts to build a whole car and then put it together with no directions !

Lol.  My buddy was like "hey lets take the windshield out and see how it looks under there"  I replied "the windshield is fine and is staying right where it is!"

Im sure once I get the fenders/inners off the front I will find some more issues :(

Filler panel and poly body bushing kit has been ordered.  Hope to have the car semi close to being road worthy by Aug 24th (my Bday).  Will be my gift to myself lol.  Still waiting on the transmission to be finished and they had to build the converter as precision doesnt stock 10" 3500 stall converters.  Figure with the gutless SBC thats under the hood, I'll be lucky to get 2500rpm stall out of it.  Once the 455 is under the hood though all bets are off.....2900-3200 most likely.

Ordered all new window trim clips, and picking up the butyl seal after work locally for $15bux! They guy said get the 3/8" and if its too thick, let the TX sun make it softer and push the glass in till the trim is flat.  Also ordered a bag of those SS "T" post replacement screws since Im sure my filler panel will be missing them :(

If all goes well, I'll have the transmission installed this weekend and the filler all welded in and shaved ready for the screws/clips and then rear window install.  Energy suspension poly body bushings will be delivered today based on tracking info.
