What else are they going to find??

Took my '78 Skybird (Esprit edition Firebird) to the local Chevy dealer to get front coil springs installed - the bozo that had the car previously had chopped them so badly I was scraping ants off the road.

Well, I get it home for a few weeks and decided it definitely needed air shocks on the back since it felt like I was driving in the back seat - rode WAY TOO HIGH in the front.

Rear air shocks are now installed. BUT..................................

IT'S STILL AT THE SHOP
BECAUSE THE RADIATOR HAS A SIDE SEAM SPLIT. Another 3 or 4 hundred bucks and I should be good to go another few weeks. But you know what?? My car is worth it, but ENOUGH ALREADY. Just had to vent somewhere. Thanks for letting me "blow off some steam" (just like my radiator). I've whined enough (I think).

Well, I didn't go to a "fly-by-night" garage - this one is rated as good as a 5-star hotel - had to travel past two other dealerships to get to this one. And BELIEVE ME, in this part of the country, that's over 100 miles. (My car is spoiled). That's why I have up to five jobs at one time.....I enjoy the finer things in life, too
. I guess you get what you pay for. PLUS a warranty works great for me. (Darn it, now I'm wondering if they WERE installed right
. Time will tell.)
THANKS EVERYBODY! NO MORE WHINING FOR NOW....

First mistake is taken it to the dealership which charges double for everything. The stock new springs will raise it higher for awile, the lowering springs might have been better since they have from 1 to 2 inch drops. The radiator should be less and easy to install yourself!! Sorry to hear about all those things going wrong.Good luck!

Ouch! Hope the ants are okay.

I know eastern Washington has tons of shops and indelible ways of locating parts with exception to the dealer. GM is almost as proud of their parts as the guys over at the Ford, Lexus, Toyota, Nissan, etc dealerships.
