Here are videos of my GTA and me playing on a backroad and roasting off some tire on some launches. This is before I got my exhaust system done, but I had alot of my mods done at the time. They aren't perfect videos or anything as I was shooting with one hand and driving with the other, more of a sound treat than anything else so turn up your speakers and enjoy. I also will include the video of it on the dyno which was also before my exhaust. I will post up some new videos in the next month or so of how it runs now.

98 TA - engine bay and engine rebuild

Well, looks like my engine is glittering up my oil. Time for a new one.

Engine bay has been a sore spot for me on the car for a long time, it never has shined the way I've wanted it to.

So out with the LS1, in with a 6.0L with 5.3L heads and some other goodies.

Then I'm going to clean up the engine bay, hide some wires, shave some holes, and then paint the whole damn bay.

I bought me a nice looking firebird formula 400 1974.

But i have a little problem with the chassis number, cant find it anywhere.
It should be somewhere on the right front wheel, but kind find it.

Does anyone know where it is located (not under the front screen, i know that one).
pls send me a picture, i need it else i'm not allowed to drive with the car (belgium).

1991 black GTA L98/4L60 with many mods

This is my 1991 Trans Am GTA. It is equipped with the L98 350 TPI engine and the 4L60 auto transmission with a 10 bolt 3.23 geared posi rear differential and aluminum driveshaft.
It is 1 of 446 black and 1 of 219 with dark gray cloth interior built for 1991. I bought it back in December of 2009 completely stock and unmolested for $2,600 dollars with 123K miles on it and since then the following mods have been done to it:

I just got my second bird about two weeks ago. This one is a 98 TA A4 completely stock. I have plans for intake exhaust and tune soon. Then plan on working on building up the Tranny and the rear end.

My original plan was to do a basic V6 motor swap. After going online to forums I was motivated to do a V8 swap. I thought about doing an LS1 but the engine by itself was about 3500 bucks and from my understanding an LS1 is very limited in what you can do in the mod department, so I looked at an LT1 swap. That motor was about 2000 bucks. After a log of pricing around and did not like the price so I decided to sell both cars.

Just a little update vid to show you all my progress. I will continue on to part 2 today so stay tuned and expect a vid today also. Yes I am the only one taking this motor apart so it is actually MY BUILD lol. well be for i start talkin about my time at the track ill share some back ground info first about the car....

i installed a set of richmond 4.10 gears and the car ran fine for about 2 days....well i was leaving a car show and there was some nice curves ahead so i droped the tranny back in 2nd to feel the powerband in the curves...well when the tranny downshifted the motor went to like 4 grand and now it sounds like it missing or the carb is being poopy...unless its WOT then its fine untill u leave back the pedal to a steady RPM...then it bogs and misses...and just plain poopy.,like the power valve is brook but idk

soo anyhow i brought a line lock the other day and as gonna install it today before i went to the track bt i was lazy and didnt feel like doin a project today. so 730pm rolls around and i stroll out to the track goin like 50mph the whole way (rpm was at 2700) didnt take long since the track it like 10miles from my estate bt still it took a while...so i get to the track and my passenger "forgot" his wallet so i had to pay my way in plus his spector way in also. so i get the car inspected and write down my info and i get into the stageing lanes...not many ricers out there bt about 4 of my friends were there..and to make the car more fun the tranny is craped in the car..it wont leave in 1st gear..it leaves in 2nd and once shifts once goin down the track..it squeals tires when it shifts bt it shifts only once.

my best time was a 15.5 @88.24mph
best r/t was .567
my 60ft was 2.39

and to make it more fun the last run of the night i red lighted and sumwhere between runs 5-7 my exhaust hanger brook
i made 8 total runs tonight and on the way home i hit a good size pothole and lost a center cap..nothing at all good happened today..car ran crappy, it shifted crappy, spent my last 20 cash in gas today on her..im about ready to sell it and buy a diesel truck like everyone eles around here. well thanks for listeing to my rant lol

My 71 Project

I picked my 71 up about a month ago off ebay, paints pretty poor and the interior was in pretty bad shape. It's got a Olds 455 and TH400 and 3:55's.

So far I cleaned all the rust up in the trunk and repainted it (parts of the trunk pan willl have to be eventually be replaced), had the seats redone. I've also pulled the old carpet out and all the old padding/insulation, there is one dime size hole under one of the back seats that I will be patching before I seal and paint the floor pans, other than that one spot the pans are solid.

I was going to have the door panels redone, but I'm not totally happy with the way the seats came out so i just ordered new ones from E&A today. I dont know what i'm going to do with the arm rest section shown in the picture below, I can't find any reference showing they are correct for my car. So I should have the interior wrapped up in the next couple weeks once all the parts come in. Then I just need a presentable dash pad

This weekend I'll be installing poly body mounts and sub-frame connectors.

First, my 1995 baby, Ellie. She's a 3.4 V6, in teal (what's the factory color name?!), and I bought her in Nov. 2009, with 143k miles. She now has 152k miles and is my little workhorse. Born with a graphite cloth interior, she was original when I got her. She now has a Pioneer head unit and will soon have a black leather mixed with graphite for a two-tone effect. She's an automatic, and is likely to stay that way since my husband can't really drive a manual well.

Missy is my 2001 Firebird, with a 3.8 V6 in Pewter. Born with a pewter cloth interior and an automatic, she's still original from one end to the other. We found her with 82k miles on her and very, very clean. Bought at an import dealer, she was shuffled through as a cheap domestic, minimally maintained and poorly cared for by the dealership.

I have been chided by Alicia for not posting pictures of my dearest Emma...so I suppose I need to do that now. She started life as an automatic, but after three automatics being destroyed due to a re-used torque converter and not backflushing the cooler because I didn't know any better, she has now been swapped over to an automatic. Aside from a few personal touches, she's largely original.

Some of you might remember me from about two years ago. I have a RHD 95 trans am Some of the mods are or should I say where do i start...lol
Well guess the first and most major mod is the car is Right Hand Drive.
Second mod is the car has been fitted with a Lambo door kit. Believe me its more function than bling. Here in Australia the parking spaces are small and the doors going up help a pudgy guy like me get in and out..lol
3. Is a set of 17" Real Boyd Coddingtons
4. Prolly the most important mod of all is a EFI Connection's 24x System (Lt1 computer to a LS1)
5. Is UMI Performance Suspension upgrades and sub frame connectors
6. C5 Corvette brake upgrade (Front only)
7. Golen Motors built 383 400hp 498 ft/lbs torque
8. Race logic aftermarket traction control
9. STS Rear Mount Turbo with custom 1 3/4" headers and 31/2" exhaust with more custom stuff.

here is my 78 T/A i bought last april i paid 500.00 and give my old truck which was given to me and it did not have a motor either.
it is a w72 ws6 4 speed with power windows and a/c and is orginal black on black(all phs doccumented)
i built the engine this past winter and i only got to drive her for about 1 week until she went to the bodyshop yesterday to stay for three months, im going to try to take pics about twice a week and keep it updated.

Figured the car was outside already after I took it for its first beat down so I took some pics. Car is currently KIA lol, so far I have killed a 2 alternator belts, a battery and my alternator isnt charging. Other than that I'm very happy!! With the amount of stuff done to the car and what could have gone wrong I cant complain.

Any questions about anything feel free to ask.

My new project

Here are a few pics of my new ride. I found the car sitting at my girl friends uncle house. I asked him what was going on with it , he said somebody he knows needed a place to put the car. Then he told me they where hurting for money and they would sale it for 400 bucks to him. Then he would sale it to me for the same price, I said ok but i was broke also, I had all my money wrapped up in wedding stuff. He told me no biggie he would hold it till i get some money back up. I got the wedding stuff over with, went to his house to pay him. Then he told me he would just give it to me for my wedding gift. Made me super happy . Anyways enough of the story i am sure alot of you guy and gals really dont care..lol

So this is what i came up with so far. 1977 Firebird Esprint, with a 68 pontiac 350 motor.After looking it over real good the car had new L and R quarter panels put on with new L and R fenders and inner wheel wells. Somebody at one time put some money in the car. Here are some pics of the way i got the car.

1975 Production Numbers

Looking for close to accurate prod numbers for the 1975 Formula and TA. Further broken down to automatic and manual prod numbers for each model. Are all 4 speed boxes of that year Muncie or Saginaw, and what are the differences between the two?

94 Firebird before & after rims (Rat Rod)

Had some used 17" rims behind the barn, so cleaned them up and put on the bird.
Got the tail lights/turn signals working, front rotors put on (used from parts bird, but were like new). Just need a paint job and inside detailed. Thinking of painting the top white and the body black (will kinda look like a cop car when done) at least that is what I am thinking.
Short on cash right now so may be a while...lol

This is a Dragonbird video Ok, it's nothing fancy just some pics of the old and new Dragonbird in the vid that my hubby Mike put together :)At 1st there's no sound, but after a few seconds Dragonbird's song will start to play Oh, and for some reason youtube added another minute to the vid and Mike had made it where the music fades at the end of the video, but once it got uploaded to youtube, it just stops instead of fading. Other than that, not a bad tribute vid Oh, and you will get to hear Dragonbird sing a little

Sell it, fix it, or part it?

Hey everyone, my name is Zach, I have a 1994 Firebird (V6, Manual trans) in need of repair, I bought the car for $3500 a couple years ago with 100,000 miles on it. I have had it for a couple years now and it is in need of some repair. My question is should i sell it as is? fix it? or sell the parts? what would be the best option for a student in need of money and a reliable car? From what i can tell the car needs:

Transmission mount
Paint
rear stabilizer bar
Transmission (sooner or later)
Upholstery
(and the power windows dont seem to be very reliable, but that could be a fuse)

I'm going back to school in the fall and i need a reliable car, would it be better to sell the car as a whole? or sell the parts? or repair and use/sell? Thank you for your help
